The Beaver Valley Nitehawks are thrilled to announce the signing of 19-year-old defenceman Niklaas Braaksma for the 2026/27 season as the Hawks kick off their inaugural Junior A season in the British Columbia Hockey Conference (BCHC).
Braaksma, from Edmonton, Alberta, joins the Hawks after playing against them last season as a member of the Castlegar Rebels. The 6’2″, 205 lbs, left shot defenceman was a staple of the Rebels blueline, playing in 40 of the teams 48 games.
