Dear Nitehawks Friends and Family,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and longtime volunteer, Helen Underwood. She left us this past June. Helen was an integral part of our Nitehawks family, dedicating countless hours of her time and unwavering support to our club.
Helen's warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering dedication will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She played a vital role in the success of game night operations, always going above and beyond to ensure that our events and games ran smoothly.
Her passion for the Nitehawks and her love for the sport of hockey were evident in everything she did. Whether it was bringing goodies on game night, making sure everything on game night was ready, or simply cheering on our team from the stands, Helen's presence brought joy and enthusiasm to our community.
We extend our deepest condolences to Helen's family and friends during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this loss. We will forever cherish the memories we shared with Helen and the positive impact she had on our Nitehawks family.
Helen's spirit will continue to inspire us as we carry on her legacy of selflessness and love for the Nitehawks.
We will have a moment of silence at our home opener, Friday September 29th in her honour.
Rest in peace, dear Helen. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Sincerely,
Stephen Piccolo
