Beaver Valley Nitehawks captain Kaleb Percival has committed to play for the University of Jamestown Jimmies in the American Collegiate Athletic Association in 2024-25.
Percival has 18 points in 19 games for the Nitehawks this season and committed to the Jimmies program because he said, “they look like a great program.” He learned that the Jimmies culture is similar to the Nitehawks, which was important to him.
“I’m going to play with players that have been in the same league and have similar values,” he said, adding he likes that the Jimmies are building upward. “I know a couple of guys that say the school is first-class and they are really loving it.”
Percival credited his time with the Nitehawks and in the league for earning this opportunity.
“This league keeps getting better and better,” said Percival. “Being in this league, and playing for Terry Jones, has helped me in so many ways. Not just hockey related, but life related. My time in Beaver Valley and in this league has matured me a lot.”
Nitehawks Head Coach-GM Terry Jones said Percival has “been an elite player in our league for the past several seasons.”
“He’s a leader who works daily to improve his own game and make everyone around him better,” said Jones. “I am very excited to see him excel in this new opportunity and phase of life as a student-athlete at Jamestown.”
